I purchased a bed from this company and was expecting big things with the price being quite high, the way it was described and the appearance of the website, but I have been left bitterly disappointed. The finished article looks good, but would have been far better had we not had to bodge it to get the desired effect. Not perfect, but at least a bit more pleasing to the eye. I found this totally unacceptable, so we went out in search of a dark wood which we found in the form of dark oak flooring to put down each side to hide the slats that were showing. When the new king size mattress, bought to go on our new king size bed was made up there was a gap of about 1.5 inches each side which exposed the pine coloured slats to view.
There was also nick caused by a knot hole on the right hand side of the bed which if the 'craftsman' had noticed they could have put it facing into the middle so it did not show.
This defect resulted in my husband having to cut this amount off the bottom part of the frame and all of the slats - luckily he had the equipment to do this. Not a lot, but being it was on this particular corner was very noticeable when walking into the room. It arrived as advised which was good, but when the framework was offered up the front right hand corner did not line up by about 1/8th inch. I am eventually pleased with the finished look, but could not recommend it unless the recipient is good at DIY, which my husband thankfully is. I am really disappointed that I could not give my purchase of Get Laid Beds Modern Low bed in chocolate stain more stars. DISAPPOINTED THAT I COULD NOT GIVE IT MORE
